The IPL 2021 auction concluded with some very big surprises as the franchises emptied their purses and filled their squads with first-choice players and backups.
Chris Morris made history by becoming the most expensive player ever in IPL history after he bagged an INR 16.25 Cr bid by Rajasthan Royals (RR). Young gun New Zealand’s Kyle Jamieson earned a 15 Cr bid from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), while K Gowtham was the most expensive Indian player bought in the auction at a 9.25 Cr bid from Chennai Super Kings, who also got Moeen Ali for Rs 7 cr.
