KKR vs RCB Postponed Amid COVID-19 Explosion In KKR Camp

The 30th match of IPL 2021 which was all set to take place KKR vs RCB has been postponed after 2 players of the KKR camp have reportedly tested positive for COVID-19. This comes as a massive blow to the BCCI and its hopes of carrying forward a full-fledged IPL 2021 in India.

The COVID-19 situation in India has gone from bad to worse ever since the Indian Premier League began this year. The country has already touched a daily spike of 4,00,000 cases. The situation only seems to worsen. A lot of foreign players had already opted out of IPL 2021 after stating personal reasons and now this COVID explosion comes as a massive blow.

KKR vs RCB Postponed Due To COVID-19 Scare

Now, there have been media reports emerging stating that the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore which was scheduled to take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The match has been postponed as several members of the KKR clan have tested positive for COVID-19.

There have been reports suggesting that Australian pacer Pat Cummins has also tested positive for COVID-19. This comes as a denting blow to the BCCI who have time and again reassured that the bio-bubble established during the IPL is full proof and safe for its players and the staff members who are a part of the bubble.

Several Cricketers Have Left IPL 2021

It is notable that a lot of cricketers have left the Indian Premier League this year citing personal reasons. This includes Liam Livingstone, Adam Zampa, Kane Richardson, Andrew Tye and Ravichandran Ashwin. Ashwin’s kids were found COVID positive as informed by his wife, Prithi Ashwin and several other members of his family had also tested positive.

Adam Zampa had clearly gone on to criticize the vulnerability in the bio-bubble. He clearly stated that he had never felt unsafe like this before. He had also stated that the bio-bubble in Dubai last year felt much safer.
