Amid the Covid – 19 pandemic, the entire cricket world is at a standstill. But Cricket in India never stops. Even though the number of Corona positive people are increasing at a rapid pace in India, Cricket has found its place in midst of such pandemonium.
Recently, a video has surfaced on social media depicting a group of migrant workers who have been accommodated in a Quarantine Centre somewhere in India, has inspite of bearing so much difficulties during this Covid – 19 era, engage in an Indoor Cricket match within the four walls of the Quarantine Centre.
Ex South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes was quick to share the video of such people playing in the quarantine centre on Twitter and admired the Indian cricket fans and their undying love for the game. Rhodes was quick to remark that India is such a cricket loving country that whenever there is enough space, people start playing cricket.
“People ask me often; “what is it about India that I love so much” Need I say any more?” he wrote.
Earlier, Politican Omar Abdullah had also shared the same video and wrote “Have space, will play. Quarantine time pass”.
